Still not bad if you want to toss on 1oz and some stink bait for catfish but they are pretty awful for most lures. I have one on that Abu Silver Max combo but it feels like they used a different design for the casting reel compared to a similar spinning reel. The backbone is like a MH spinning rod so it weighs a bunch and it seems like it doesn't taper quite as thin until you get to the very tip so doesn't flex as bad as most of their spinning rods. But it's still not worth using for any finesse presentations. Works best ripping big spinnerbaits or chatterbaits through the water.
