Fishing for calicos or sheephead on the pier, anything really. Only the mackerel were interested. They really like squid. I cut up a mackerel and cast it out far, but no takers. A heroin addict on the pier told me that croakers like mussel, so next time I'll come with a dropshot rig and look for some mussels. They did recently issue a warning about mussels having toxins or some shit and not to eat it, I wonder if they're safe to touch.
I ended up taking one big mackerel home and frying it in butter
