>>1508873The fire growler is just a klran kanteen growler, and I didn't know what else to call it. It's single walled and 40 Oz capacity. I had the klean kanteen 32 wide mouth, and replaced it with this because I melted 2tops for it.
I like to toss it straight on the fire, but don't like ash and debrit in my drink. The growler has a removable rubber gasket, and otherwise it's completely metal. It's not water tight without the gasket, but it more than prevents crap getting in it while it's boiling. Usually I fill it up before my hike, and I boil/filter more when I get to camp.
Pic related is the first aid kit. The Grey ball is 4 exam gloves. Then gauze, bandaids, eye drops, advil, liquid skin, neosporin, benadryl, chap stick and mirror. I used to work in the medical field, and helped teach wilderness first aid. Just about anything missing from this small kit can be improvised. Anything worse than that and you're screwed anyways.
I'll get a picture of my fire kit tomorrow after work.
