I could have probably ridden it out, but who wants to spend a full day trapped on a small island in the middle of a heaving lake, stuck inside a tent during heavy thunderstorms while hoping a tree dosent shake a branch loose on you, or that your tent dosent decide to do it's best kite impersonation?
Could i have ridden it out? Sure. Would I have gained anything from doing so? No. So I bailed before the lake got too dangerous to cross. Got the boat tied to the roof of my car right as the rain started.
