Just a bit of an update on the root pouch wicking beds. Four finished. One more to go. They work as expected. I recon they hold around 110 liters of water each.
The one with the zucchinis is almost empty and about to be refilled for the first time (as expected from zucchinis, they do drink a lot) .
The others are no where near that point.
You only need to dig about 5 cm to notice the dampness so they wick very well. I reckon I will save lots of water with this method.
