Need somone with walnut growing expirence to comment on this.
I put some random walnut I bought in the store into a pot to see if it can be grown. According to package it should be a california grown sort, though. First I was suprised that it grew REALLY fast, then the stem became barky brown and it halted. The the leaves started to get brown at the tips [red arrow]. I reduced watering as I suspected I overwatered it but kept in mind it might that walnut-disease. It seemingly did grow for 2 months. Then new leaves started at the root/stem in a matter of days it grew to what it is now (blue arrow). Was the first stem (smaller brown one) abandoned? Should I cut it? The new one looks a lot healther.
