I find it hard to believe /out/ has never been driving somewhere and has seen a place where they just think "hot damn I would like to spend a night there". First time it ever hit me was 9 years ago when I was putting up fence on a property and waaaay the fuck up in the hills was an old decrepit brick building. I asked the owner of the property what it was and he said it was an old typhoid crypt where people with typhoid fever where brought to die. For some reason I just thought fuck that would be a cool place to check out. Went up there later that day after work and ended up just spending the night. After that I was hooked and I've done """""stealth camping""""" probably over 100 times in various places.
Some notable places include on top of a billboard sign a little back in the woods next to a highway that I spotted on the way to a duck pond to shoot some water bats. Under a road in a drain pipe. A warehouse that had been gutted and only the foundation and metal structural beams were left. A large conex container that was used to block off the entrance to a caved in mine. Lots of stuff like that.
I think /out/ just lacks a will for adventure. Going into the woods doing the exact same thing expecting the exact same outcome in a location that looks simuler to the other dozens you've been to is boring. If sneaking into an old warehouse and sleeping on the roof that is only accessible by the rope you brought is larping them I'll happily be a larper.
