Just got back from la ventana. Did mostly microfishing from the beach. Caught a few of these small jacks on topwater on 8lb, really fun. Mostly caught baby groupers on 2" paddletails. Got a few hits from big needlefish on one of the points, but they didn't hook up. Did a day of spearfishing from a panga and missed some embarrassing shots on some decent leopard grouper and even scuffed a shot on a pargo in a hole. I really need to practice before going down there again to spear, I hadn't dove since last season and it showed. Ended up only taking a couple reef fish for dinner at the hotel.
