Atomic-Moto's a good source for gear too. Good gang there. Also keep an eye out for used gear if you're into this on a budget. Craigslist, classifieds/fleamarket sections on forums, ebay...
My experience is that you'll go through two or three sets of gear before you really figure out what works for you. So budget for that, and keep in mind buying used cuts a lot of the depreciation vs. buying new gear.
I wear work boots around town, but if i'm doing anything more than commuting or going out to dinner, i've got my moto boots on.
