Still pretty stupid... If you are out in the woods and plan to be there long enough to need a fire, you should have a ax or large enough knife for batoning.
If you happen to actually be in a "survival situation" and some how have a innawoods knife but not you normal stuff, you baton smaller things your knife can handle, not freaking logs.
