>>482023 I carry different weapons depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing. I do not always need or want a firearm whenever I'm outdoors. If I am hunting I carry an appropriate rifle for whatever I'm hunting; however, I do sometimes pack a .44 Magnum in case I run into bear, and I'm not already packing a .300 WinMag for elk! The .44 magnum makes me feel safer, especially with the most vicious animals running around out there, humans, drunkenly shooting their SKS 7.62mm or AR-15 .223 at anything that moves. It makes a visible statement, and a loud-ass boom; not to mention a big-ass hole! There are crazy motherfuckers out in some of these woods, and there are even worse pricks than drunks out there; sometimes doing things to people that only a powerful weapon is going to stop. I also live near the desert, so I often carry a .22 loaded with rat shot when hiking around out there in case I run into rattlesnakes.
