I planted Lemon balm (Melissa Officinalis) seeds on July 19th, and sure enough, 10 days after that (today), they have almost fully gestated.
The thing is, while some of the young stalks are obviously Melissa (as per the leaves), I'm also getting some tall, thin, whispy grass-like stalks that don't have the same structure as the rest of the melissa stalks.
Have I done something wrong? Are the tall stalks also Melissa, or have I cross-contaminated the pot? It's a pot on my window still. Check out the picture.
