>>1322585Has anyone else noticed that treble hooked fish don't seem to fight as hard as single-hooked?
I caught two bass this morning 30 minutes apart that were about the same size and caught in about the same area. The first one was caught on a medium rod with a nose-hooked Fluke Jr, the second was caught on a UL rod with a Rapala Ultralight Crank and the first gave me more of a fight. He went on a couple of runs, pulled drag, jumped twice while the second one was just kinda winched in with a wimpier rod and lighter line.
This isn't the first time it's seemed like this either. I switched from a squarebill to a t-rigged lizard while kayak fishing a couple months ago and my lizard fish seemed more energetic.
