>>1297935>>1297935OK Range report. All rounds were shot through a Ruger stainless 10/22 in a magpul stock. Scope is a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Dead-Hold BDC in a 1-Inch Tube. Scope was off slightly (and I sighted it in after all of these results) but I was aiming for the crosshair for each group. They all grouped very well (except for the stingers, those were a bit wild), and they all cycled fine...No stovepipes, FTE's, FTF's....nothing.
Blazer: 40 Grains, unknown velocity. Appear to be CCI made with a lead nose, and they seemed to be waxed. Loud report. My guess is that they are over 1000 FPS. $7 Cdn per 50.
Winchester Dynapoint: 40 grains. unknown velocity. Copper plated hollow point. Loud report. Definitely over 1000 fps. $45 CDN for 500.
CCI Suppressor: 45 grains, 970 FPS. Lead hollow point. Loud report, but not as loud as the blazer or the dynapoint. Still used ear plugs for this one. Forgot the price.
CCI Stinger: 32 grain, 1640 FPS. Copper plated hollow point. Loudest report out of all of them. These echoed the ranged pretty good. $9 Cdn per 50.
CCI Quiet-22 Segmented Hollow Point: 40 Grain, 710 FPS. Quiet quiet quiet. Sounded like a textbook falling on the ground and lading flat. I had my ear plugs out for this one and there was no EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE after the five round grouping. $10 Cdn per 50
CCI Quiet-22 Lead round nose: 40 grain, 710 FPS. Same as above. $7 Cdn per 50.
So for price, report volume, and gruping, the CCI quiet-22 Lead round nose wins.
