>>2380371i am a 13th century medieval reenactor and i use 100% wool clothing for it (over linen undergarments) and if they are coarse, as wool can often be, it can be a little uncomfortable on the bare skin but its not a dealbreaker. the material is warm and wont kill you in the heat necessarily but is probably inferior to modern fabrics for summer weather. But to be honest, walking through a forest trail would take a toll on the material as branches and twigs tug at the fibers. its definitely not as low profile as modern fabrics in that regard. id wear wool just for fun and the aesthetics but its not really superior otherwise imo
