>>2637635I have very little knowledge in any sort of woodworking, but I advise that if you cut the branch/sapling yourself, you give yourself six extra inches, as most woods will crack near the ends once it dries. Also, put a metal sleeve on the bottom or else it will split and mushroom out when you walk on roads.
