>>797282I also got to try out those Yamamoto lured a little bit. Well the crank and spinner. Here's my verdict:
The spinner seems nice. The blades are big so I think if I get that one in a lake with decent bass who are actively chasing baitfish, it could be a winner.
The crank bait stays pretty shallow. It is a squarebill, but seems to run even more shallow than other squarebills. I'm not sure about the action on that crankbait though. It wobbles so much, it doesn't even look natural. But I don't know since I never have luck with the chubby cranks like that. I do much better with thin lures like Rapalas.
I still need to try that walking bait. That will be new for me. I figure it might be good in the mornings when the water is super calm and poppers and prop baits make too much commotion.
Overall, I think I want to buy another one or two of those spinners. They have a frog color and a couple crawdad colors that look good. Also they have some jet black walking baits and poppers that look good for night time.
