Should I go stoveless?
The only food I'm taking (for a 3-night trip to the Highlands), that needs cooking water is a 700ml container of couscous mix, a single freeze-dried meal, and tea (the bulk of my calories need no cooking). I have a filter for drinking water.
If I ditch the couscous (heavy) then the stove becomes virtually meaningless, and I can substitute the freeze-dried meal with like 3 protein bars for the same calories.
Am I being dumb here? My buddies will have a stove as well.
