I tried a front wearing dog sling but he's big and he didn't like the tension when it closed around from hanging and it was just uncomfortable for him.
I'm considering a baby style carrier but i'm worried about his legs hanging out being uncomfortable and maybe doing damage to his hips/spine. Just doesn't seem good for long distance.
Only other options I can think of are building a platform onto the top of my backpack or just carrying him in a basket, keeping him dry would be a challenge.
