>>2209139This. GF and I have both generally come to generally distrust everyone. The people closest to you can hurt you the most. We are in our 30s now and basically have no friends or any ties to the rest of the world. No children yet but it is scary to think about what they are going to face. We work together at a school and by the end of the week, we just feel incredibly overwhelmed with all the social stress. The artificial clown world we have built is hurting people. Your average idiot is very unhealthy and living like a sow in a feeding stall. Being in a store, the movies or traffic let alone a concert is torture for me anymore. People are incredibly selfish and scared. They live their lives reacting and lashing out instead of living with thought and care. We spend our time on the weekends hiking and camping /out/. We spend some time laughing at it all. That said, I tend to enjoy my alone time deep in the woods most. I think it makes me a better person. I think A LOT of /out/ folks just don't integrate with society because they are able to zoom out and see how farcical it is. A crisp fall morning with a cup of cowboy coffee, an old Woolrich jacket and a squirrel gun. Priceless my frens.
