I think worst place in Australia I’ve been for sharks is Hawk’s Nest. It’s right near a breeding ground and doubles as a recovery area/nursery for great whites, saw so many in my short time surfing there, and some girl got taken right off a pair of waterskiis the other year (allegedly).. but during cyclone a few years back it was probably the gnarliest point break I have surfed breaking off the heads there, literally 30 boats sitting with us way out there and most dudes towing in, if you got worked you had to climb this sheer cliff with the wave smashing into you, mega risky. Couldn’t find any photos of it so just dropped a generic Jbay shot, super worth trying for any super experienced surfers here looking for a challenge
