There are differences in tent construction for each seasonal rung, as each seasonal intended usage needs more features, stronger materials and different options.
For the sake of argument I went to
Target.com and checked out their tents- here is their only offering for a 4-season tent, which honestly I was surprised they even sold.
The first thing I noticed was the size of the vestibule...it's got stunted growth and offers zero protection of the sides or the door. This means you have to bring all of your wet/snowy/muddy shit inside the tent with you, or leave it all outside. Mind you, this tent isn't exactly cheap either. Oh, and there are no windows and no venting available.
