Another one ran ahead of me on the trail for quite a ways, pausing and letting me catch up before taking off again. I also saw several six-lined racers and an anole on the trail. I didn't see any birds or mammals the entire weekend. Barking frogs were very loud both nights, but didn't make it difficult to sleep.
