>>2163838That web-ish veiny pattern is your key. The darker it gets, the better. It will eventually turn brown following the pattern, like a brown webbed net covering your melon. If the pattern is missing it can be a variety of growing factors, but yours is looking good.
Using that pattern to identify you personal preference is up to you. Try and get one where the pattern is starting to turn brown or very dark green and cut into it on the same day you get a less mature one and see which you prefer. The completely covered brown cracks are too sweer for me personally, I like a wet and crispy watermelon, so darker green that you have now.
