>>2429171While RV-type campers are nice when you’re at the campground, they’re a pain in the ass every other day of the year, as they’re awkward to tow and difficult to store. Since you mention a wife and kids, odds are you’ll be camping at Jellystone kinda campgrounds that have toilets and showers, so I’d go for a pop-up camper, which is much easier to tow and can be stored in the garage or (depending on city ordinances) in the backyard, instead of paying to keep it at a storage lot 360 days out of year.
On the other hand, if you’re going to be camping at the same Jellystone type campground all season long, then an RV-type camper is probably better, as you’ll just park it at your reserved camp spot and leave it there, driving up on weekends to use it and only have to move it to store it during the off-season.
