Ignore what these retards are saying, they clearly don't know shit. There are plenty of amazing /out/ spots in Ohio, starting with Hocking Hills. Old Mans Cave is a tourist trap, but there are plenty of good trails by Conkles Hollow and Christmas Rocks. Some of the Metro Parks offer long and secluded trails, I went on a several day backpacking trip there and only saw one other person. The only drawback is that Ohio is rather boring. We have some nice little hills and lakes that are amazing for homesteading and a quiet life, but we don't have any exciting mountains or big game.
TL;DR - Ohio is better than people say, but it's not super interesting.
