And pic related is kind of stupid. You need a lot of water to wash that shit off. The playa dust / mud is alkaline, and you can get a chemical burn from it. Look up "playa foot," which is a chemical burn that results from walking around barefoot. I once got a little bit in my eye once, at a hot spring (supposedly off-limits to Burners while the event is going on) and I didn't wash it out right away, so my eye was irritated, all red and so forth, for a week or two afterwards.
