I work in logging enforcement with the forest department and those guys are scary motherfuckers. It's nice to have something like this when you're talking to a burly and angry foreman that just got told he has the yarder anchored a hundred yards too close. I'm also nervous about finding poachers, if someone's poaching and a forest service truck shows up they can do stupid things.
It's pretty useful for dispatching animals wounded by vehicles and left, and I suppose if I ever get confronted by a wildcat it'll be nice. Hopefully I don't run into a bear.
