>>2764165eh, ive raised a couple small birds and rabbits before. a few people know i can raise a couple small animals each season. every spring, they get a few well meaning local kids bring in a few birds or rabbits or quail or guinea pigs or groundhogs or doves.
i foster with the intention of raising to be put in a local park. years ago, grad students studied the park and figured out what animals are local and good, and what should be kicked out. some cool people give me one or two runts, i raise for a season or so, send them an email when i think theyre ready, cool people come and pick em up.
you foster? i could use some advice on how to avoid a highly aggressive wren from pecking a runt to death over the course of several weeks. usually starting by plucking feathers and causing open sores. then the wren would peck the sore until it got infected. any advice on how to change that without simply removing bad actors from a safe environment?
