We’ve got an in-ground pool at the apartment complex here and this year just as last, it’s remained closed since May when they opened it, as the filter system is broken and the pool is turning green because they won’t fork out the cash to fix it.
In-ground pools are not only FAR more expensive to install then a conventional above-ground metal sided pool but because all the filtration equipment and plumbing is also underground, FAR more expensive to maintain and repair.
Plus zoning laws require you to have to have a fence around the yard and if not, put up a fence around the in-ground pool.
