Backpacker here. My 3-day:
Condor Fuel (80oz water)
-Large poncho
-Woobie (a.k.a. poncho liner)
-WoneNice Camping Hammock
-Sawyer filter system (small)
-Hygeine kit (1 disposable razor, Germ-Ex)
-Mess Kit (Titanium spoon, optionally a small stove and canister)
-Food (Stripped-down MREs and crushed cereal w/ powdered milk)
-Clothes (usually 1 spare underwear and 1 extra pair of socks)
-Cordage and tape
-IFAK (affixed to pack)
Condor Ops chest rig
-Generic mag pouches (set of 3 containing 32oz waterbottles)
-Canteen pouch (w/ canteen cup and canteen
-Corn nuts (see pic related, would recommend)
-(Optional) a radio
I set up the hammock when I can, but usually end up using the poncho+woobie as a field-expedient sleeping bag. I usually cinch the straps of the bag tight to a small tree to protect it from wildlife.
I live in a humid subtropical region, if that means anything.
