>>1489880>So I haven't seen any reviews at 4ft led units.I use 4' 40-42watt LED shop lights to grow seedling starts. They work pretty well. This is my 3rd year. I keep the lights only a few inches away from the plants and I use 4 lights for five 1020 trays with reflective walls to help bounce light back. The lights were $24-$35. I start 540 plants using 15 lights. The plants are usually under the lights 1-2 months before hardening off for outside.
The only real problems I have with the lights is if some plant species grow faster than others. Then I have to angle the lights (pic). I'm currently in the process of taking the plants outside again to harden off in the sun.
