My only gripes with the M model are that the elasticated side pouches are basically null. There's no stretch in it when the bag is loaded. Moreover and side molle pouches get in the way and make them redundant. My personal issue is that there's no room to play - even if limiting yourself can be a good thing. It's narrow so any winter sleep kit kills this system if you're looking to pack it inside (I take public transport to the forest so I prefer to not leave things on the outside if I can).
>Inside the main compartment in that picture is my DD Jura 2 uncompressed, a thermarest, bugnet, basha, possibles/tools pouch, and my axe. That leaves minimal room for a bladder and food pouch on top. Side pouches are cook kit and med/admin. Wondering if sizing up would have been the sensible thing, but then again I already have army PLCE pouches so just opted for a sabre. How do you find it mate?
