>>2538349>>2538361I have a bastard groundhog on my property (somewhat rural ohio). I moved in last year and have not gotten around to taking care of it yet. It is destroying the floor underneath one of my lesser used outbuildings and it has destroyed a spot over by my pond. Is it legal for me to shoot it without a hunting license? I plan on getting some livestock this year and want to become more familiar with this.
I am familiar with butchering and I have tanned a few skins before. I plan on making a bag for my black powder equipment with its pelt and possibly feeding the cooked meat to my cats and dog. Is there anything else I can use the whistle pig for? I do not want to be wasteful.
