Hey guys, recently tried spear fishing for carp and other invasives in a local river. Pic is from last week, my friend and I got three all about that size. Anyway, my question is if anyone here has bowfished? I would like to do another diy project and I have a youth compound bow from when I was a kid. The highest it can adjust to is 12 lbs. Would this be powerful enough/or what draw weight are fishing bows usually set to? With my spear at night I was able literally stand right on top of some snakeheads so distance is not an issue.
