When I go camping my favorite is to marinate a bunch of cubed pork loin on skewers (if skewers are wooden soak them in water for an hour or so before stabbing the meat) in a ziploc bag in olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, paprika, oregano and a tiny bit of sugar. Roast them over hot coals in the campfire until they're 145°F inside (don't want the shits out in the wild) and experience the supreme contentment of sitting by a crackling fire while eating a succulent piece of pig meat on a stick, just the way your ancestors have been doing for the last 100,000+ years.
