>>1423850Hedge is a fucking magical wood. Burns like coal, harder than steel, and rots like plastic. I just got done ripping up a 100+ year old fenceline on the back of my property too combine the two fields into a bigger pasture, the wire had rusted away to nothing long ago, but half those old hedge posts were still in good enough shape that I was able to replace several handles that I was meaning to get around to over the years. That said, finding long straight pieces of it can be a real pain, not sure how well I could make a bow from it.
Pic somewhat related, the bow I made with hickory limbs. Ignore the dust, I hurt my shoulder a few years back trying prove that I didn't get old and even that 55 pound draw is too much for me now.
