>How much effect do we contribute? Does it matter? What is the trade off?1. According to NASA ''The industrial activities that our modern civilization depends upon have raised atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from 280 parts per million to 400 parts per million in the last 150 years. The panel also concluded there's a better than 95 percent probability that human-produced greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide have caused much of the observed increase in Earth's temperatures over the past 50 years.'' But I suppose that won't do for you, because they are basing that on another IPCC report... So, I had to turn to wikipedia. Check out <
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_dioxide#In_Earth's_atmosphere> (I made sure there were no IPCC reports in the citations).
2. Well, what do you think? -.-'
3. I guess it means that we will have to stop our wasteful ways in exchange for the survival of the species. ''Wasteful ways?'' You ask, well excessive consumption (buying shit you don't need, like the newest iphone/ipad/samsung w/e when it comes out, reduce eating meat, recycle metals, glasses and energy waste, use clothes until they really are broken beyond repair (you can patch up your clothes and other fabrics) and so on.
