Here's a better photo of the actual corner. The thing in the middle is a Bureau of Land Management marker, so obviously everyone involved knows exactly where the property line is. There's not a fence anywhere else, just the one foot right at the corner, so they can argue that if you don't carry a ladder out into the field you must have trespassed.
