I stealth camp in England all the time. I've never been caught. This place is way more populated than WI and the woodlands are TINY. I don't know if I've just got lucky, but I do the following
1) I don't set up camp until after 5pm (most gubmint employees finish at 5) and I leave as early as possible, preferably before it gets light in winter or just before 6/7am in summer
2) I keep my fire small
3) I don't be a nigger
4) I move every night
5) I try to camp on holidays. New years, Easter etc. Again, gubmint employees will be on bare bones staff during this time and they are very unlikely to go hunting for solo campers
I struggle to imagine that the situation in a place that much less densely populated could be worse than Cuckland and I think if you followed my rules the chances of being caught is very low. That being said, being caught in the UK has very few consequences unless you are a nigger about it. What are the consequences of being caught?
