It will teach them a bunch of useful skills and make them more self reliant. Nothing feels better than eating your own produce and my family loves the stuff I grow for them too. Regardless, eggplants cost a few dollars, teaching your kid to be a self reliant man instead of a whiny perma boy is much more valuable, if they gonna fuck up, let em then show them how they fucked it up
