It's a fact, not a myth that air heats up easier than fabric. Your insulation doesn't amount to shit if you don't have enough air space in between to heat up. Wearing too many layers fucks up your heat retention, no two ways about that.
>You lose heat to the void of space through radiation, to the passing air by convection and to the earth by conduction. You don't have to lecture me about the five ways of heat loss, those being conduction, convection, radiation, respiration and transpiration. I know my stuff. And I can say beyond a doubt that you are wrong and have never been outside. But since you won't listen to me, here is FM 31-70:
>d. If the tactical situation pennits, individuals should avoid>wearing too many clothes in the sleeping bag. When too many>clothes are worn in the sleeping bag they tend to bunch up, espe->cially at the shoulders, thereby restricting circulation and inducing>cold. Too many clothes also increase the bulk and place tension>upon the bag, thus decreasing the size of the insulating air spaces>between layers and reducing the efficiency of the insulation. In>addition, too many clothes may cause the soldier to perspire and>result in excessive moisture accumulating in the bag, a condition>which will likewise reduce the bag’s insulating qualities. Extra>clothing should be placed under the bag.But you will still not admit to being wrong, you will go on and dig yourself deeper into your arrogant ignorance. It's too much to bear for you to just go "huh, okay, seems I got something wrong there, thanks for clarifying it".
Pic related, mfw I have to read this shit.
