So I went fishing off a jetty for the first time. Was throwing picrel on a 1/4oz underspin jighead and parallel to the rocks and in the kelp beds. Didn’t even get so much as a bite after walking and targeting all the different spots that I figured would be good. Do saltwater species hang around structure the same way freshwater ones do? Ideally I’m trying to catch kelp bass. I saw schools of smaller fish that were roughly the same size as my swimbait, tried a bunch of different retrieves. I want to go shore fishing again, but I feel like I wasn’t being very productive with how i was fishing
