>>2110291For noobs, I have smoking the pipe to a science. I can get it to white ash on one light repeatedly. The trick is to not pack tightly and to utilize pushing a little air thru the pipe. If the pipe gets too low, you just alternate puffing and pushing little bits until a lot of smoke when you push out, it's much easier to gauge how hot its burning if you are pushing out, also it keeps the packing a bit loose. To pack, you get it a little hotter then you tap as you are pushing a little air through. If it get's too hot you simply puff less often and rarely push air through just to test it.
