This covers every kind of small game in the Mojave. Remington 870 wing master from the 70s I paid $100 for and a stevens 22lr made in 1919 I got for free. I can hit 100yd shots on rabbits with the 22 with iron sights. It’s insanely accurate. For doves I use #8 shot out of the 870. Same for most small game, 7 1/2 or 8 covers most bases. Always eat what you kill, no reason to let things go to waste. A hunters stew is the best way to eat most small game.
