Secondly, I live in a place with poor access to "the outdoors", as nearly everything is urbanized and private. Obviously there are some cool places within ~1 day of driving, or a plane ticket, but I can't bring myself to dedicate so much effort into traveling. Perhaps I am spoiled from when I was younger when nice camping or hiking locations were plentiful and within an hour or two drive from where I lived.
