>>2237784the trans pecos is god’s country and it is fantastic to live there assuming you own land. everything thats not el paso is tiny to small towns that are all about 50/50 white and hispanic and 60-90 miles apart from eachother. comfy.
the /out/ing is great, everything from low desert to alpine, and the vast majority of it is pristine and empty. some of the darkest skies and cleanest air in the lower 48. on the cons there is not as much public land as nearby nm and the national parks have been getting more and more crowded. state and national parks are kinda expensive too
