Too big for real outdoors use, cool to fuck around.

Lurk around on the second hand market for one at a better pricepoint, quality knives only gain character with use.
I have the cm6 which is ok. I considered buying a 3 for mountaineering but set my mind on better options.
ESEE are good "package" knives, good knife+sheath pack for the beginner or for gifting someone.
