Guys I'm trying to figure out if I should rent a driveable RV for my senpaitachi roadtrip but I've never traveled in an RV or been to a NP. I "think" we all want to stay at various NP and BLM campgrounds and sleep in the RV while driving around Utah and Colorado for a week.
I'm working myself into a tizzy trying not to fuck everything up and find out what I don't know I don't know.
If I RV from our starting location that's an extra 20 hours in a 50mph gas guzzler PLUS 1,200 miles in gas and surcharge fees $0.35-50 which is insane just for driving through Kansas flatlands.
So....Do a one-way rental car to CO then get the RV right? But then the RV doesn't become an anchor weighing you down to campgrounds is it? I'm not going to miss having an additional car right? Like at Zion, their day parking fills up before 7am and if I'm at a campground outside the park cause they're booked for weeks then how do I get inside and around the park? Am I imagining this right? I just want to make sure we have the flexibility to stay where we want but also access the different activities we want to do.
