I don't know what you'd call it, sub alpine? alpine? Lots of eucalypts like Tasmanian oak/mountain ash, gullies full of fresh, clean and icy cold streams from countless mountain springs and snow melts, undergrowth of bracken and tree ferns. Just beneath the snow line but still high in the mountains.
